What’s the first thing you see when you check your email? It’s likely the subject line – and chances are your customers will make an important decision about whether to open or delete when they see this part of your message. Here are a few things to keep in mind when laying out your marketing campaign scheduling.
First, make sure the subject line is relevant and doesn’t sound too much like spam.
Also, make sure that the subject is specific and to the point. Ann Handley of Entrepreneur recently wrote that generic, one-word email subjects lose the reader and make it difficult to organize a crowded inbox.
